Learn how to facilitate people to do what they need to do to achieve objectives by:
- Understanding the role and responsibilities of the facilitator v. trainer, presenter or chairperson.
- Recognising the process of facilitation and how it is applied to a group situation.
- Exploring participants needs and clarifying the expectations of a group.
- Building a systematic awareness of team dynamics, recognising patterns such as circling, pairing and withdrawal.
- Applying a range of intervention strategies and evaluating their impact on the group and their effectiveness in helping the group to move forward towards their goal.
- Encouraging more open and honest feedback.
- Dealing with difficult situations that may arise.
